The Canon CN-E85mm T1.3 L F is an EF-mount cinema prime from Canon's CN-E family, designed to meet contemporary 4K production standards with a fast T1.3 maximum aperture. It is aimed at working cinematographers and owner-operators shooting Cinema EOS bodies or Canon EOS DSLRs who want consistent prime-lens handling and reliable optics across a matched set.

Canon's Cinema Prime design places focus and aperture markings on angled surfaces on both sides of the barrel so settings stay readable from behind or beside the camera, with control rings engineered for consistent operating torque. An 11-blade iris produces rounded background blur, and the full-frame imaging circle supports large-sensor cameras. Shared gear positions, rotation angles, and front diameters across the line let crews swap primes without adjusting the rig.
